First post of '08

Looks like I have fallen a bit behind on posting this year. We ending 2007 with a New year's eve party at our house. There were near 20 people at our house and we had a great time hosting. Last week was my first night as T&T director for our Awana club at church. Danielle and I continue to be busy making our house a home. Lily has started to eat carrots and green beans. Soon she will start sweet potatoes. Yum, Yum. Here are a few pictures of Lily and our New Years Eve Party.

Christmas Break 2007

I'm using my time off between the holidays this year to continue to unpack from our move and do some repairs and improvements to our house. Here are a few highlights.
  • Replaced the transformer in the door bell.
  • Assembled a computer armoire so the computer can be in the living room.
  • Installing a new sink in the 1/2 bath. (Still a work in progress)
  • Hooked up water to the fridge (we have ice but no water from the dispenser)
  • Light the pilot light or the fireplace.
  • Got the Saturn in the garage and more junk to the basement.
  • Measured electric usage with my new Kill a Watt device. An excellent Christmas present from my dad.
  • Shopping at the outlet mall.
  • Having fun with Lily.
Here are a few more pictures.

Lily enjoyed helping us out.

Christmas 2007

Danielle, Lily and I just got back from visiting family for Christmas up in Michigan. We had a dusting of snow, so I guess that counts a a white-green Christmas. We enjoyed visiting with our family and showing off Lily. I posted a few pictures for you all to enjoy. I'll post more later when my to do list gets shorter.

Danielle and been feeling real well and contently looks forward to the birth of our daughter. Last weekend we made a trip back to Kentucky to visit a few friends and pick up a few items at our house. Praise the Lord our house in *under contract!* Please pray that everything come together for a quick closing. My countdown clocks says less than two weeks left (+ or - a fortnight). The time is near!

Chrismas 2006

Wow it has been awhile since I have had a new post. Mostly, I think because their has been much to write about. Danielle and I had a wonderful Christmas break We were able to see most of our families. I was able to go geocaching with my dad and some with my father-in-law, play disc golf with my brother, Bryan, Evan and Alica. We ended our trip up North with by going bowling with Dean & Ruth and Jim & Marisa, and Alica. I had an excellent first game bowling a 125. Danielle did well also and bowled a 114 It was not a white Christmas up in Michigan, which was my first green Christmas in years. If this winter continues this way, I might go a whole winter without seeing any significant snow, which would be a first for me in my life. Danielle and I can home with a bunch of DVD's, several books and calenders, a few new games and air compressor and an iPod shuffle. Danielle continues to be very well with her pregnancy. We are eager to find out the gender of our little one at the very end of January. We praise God for sending His Son to earth to pay for our sins.

Labor Day 2006

Wrapping up the end of a good long weekend with the blog. Two couples from our Sunday School Class came over for lunch. Danielle made awesome Apple and Peach Pies, I cooked hamburgers and hot dogs on the grill. This was a send off party for Dave and Ginny. Dave starts work tomorrow as senior pastor at Burners Chapel in Harrodsburg, Ky. We will miss them, but we are very excited for them as well. During the party we played Croquet -- Greg was the winner. Danielle and I started watching Lost Season One on DVD so our group watch episode 4 with us. I was able to go on a short bike ride to place one of my geocaches. Danielle and I make cookies to send to her sister, a freshman at IWU. All in all a good Labor Day and a much needed break before I start work again tomorrow.
