For the second year in a row we drove up to Michigan for snow during the Easter weekend. Danielle, Lily and I had a good and full weekend. We visited family and praised God for Christ's death and resurrection. Enjoy the pictures.

Awana Quizzing & Belated Valentines Party

On Saturday February 24th. Cornerstone Baptist Church had it's first Awana Quizzing. We ended up having only 2 kids participate. They did fantastic job for each being on their own team. I think we where able to create excitement within the church for next year, hopefully with more kids participating.

We finished the day with a Sunday School belated Valentines party. We had food from Sonny's BBQ, which for the money is an excellent source of food for a large group. We had a lot of fun.

Pastor Search Committee

I was asked to be a member for the Pastor Search Committee for Cornerstone Baptist Church, Nicholasville. I decided I would join and our team was voted in. I am one of two guys on the team of seven. I do look forward to the challenge and the great learning experience, but most of all serving my church. I pray the God will lead us to make wise Biblical choices. I also pray that God will help me discern what to say and what not to say.

Kentucky Football Concessions

Each year my church runs a concession stand for every University of Kentucky Foot Ball home game. The church gets roughly 10% of the net sales, which we use to help fund the youth missions trips. This is my 3rd time volunteering . It is a lot of work we left at 2:30 and arrived home at 11:30. But I did enjoy working with the youth and adults of the church. I think that is is fun to be at the games and feel all the energy. Last week Kentucky was on ESPN's waiting list for the Bottom ten. Much to my surprise Kentucky Beat Texas St 41-7. The sea of humanity all wearing Blue and White in the stands was much more excited than dejected as I have seen in the past.

In other collage football news Michigan is 2-0 ranked in the top ten, Notre Dame is 2-0 ranked in the top five, and Ohio State is 2-0 and Ranked #1 after soundly beating #2 Texas yesterday. Michigan plays Notre Dame next weekend so that will be a huge test for Michigan, my all time favorite football team. Go Blue!!
